Alexis Haupt-Pullen

Alexis completed her BA and Honours (Psychology) degrees at the University of the Western Cape and her Masters (Clinical Psychology) degree at Stellenbosch University. She did her internship and community service years at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital. She worked at an inpatient dual diagnosis clinic for 7 years where she specialised in eating disorders, addiction (substance and process addictions), trauma and personality disorders.

She lectures and supervises students at university level. She currently works in private practice with a broad range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, bereavement and relationship problems. She has a special interest in working with people who struggle with eating disorders. Women’s mental health, including pregnancy loss and infertility, is another area of particular interest for Alexis.
